The VALUE of True Friends

Jump in the car with Mr. & Mrs. Coney's and we were on our way to Las Vegas to spend 6 days with friends of over 35 years. Neighbors who lived on 4400 South & Bourdeaux Way in West Valley. Friends that have served together, wept together, strengthened together, and found joy in living the same type of standards.
We rented a house with 3 bedroom, T.V. room, pool, spa, and kitchen area. We had done this in years past, and found it to be very successful. This year took a different twist.......at the same time, we made it a very successful trip.
The house had plenty of space.....dirty space.....but wonderful Televisions for us to idle down & enjoy the blessing of April General Conference. We just had to clean first!
Note the couch our "Que-T's" are setting on! It defined Las Vegas! But the pool table in the family room got it's far share of hard knocks. The men were in around this table every chance they got, while we girls cooked and just enjoyed visiting while watching a good movie.
J. Dale search through 3 vacuums to find one that wasn't jammed packed
J. Dale went through 3 vacuums searching for just one that wasn't jammed packed with dirt. Finally he emptied one, vacuumed the house, and it jammed it full again. It was really disgusting. Nonetheless, we washed everything we could & proceeded to have great meals, and a great time with great friends.

We enjoyed teasing, sharing sacred moments & memories, and savoring the abilities of fine cooks.

These two women are two of my most precious friends in my life. Note they both have dark black hair, are very skinny and I am the opposition in all things! Obviously, I have good taste!
Significantly we have bridged our differences & found joy in similarities.

We've walked together, problem solved together, raised our families together, and educated together. J.D. makes sure we have education in every experience.
And although this might reflect we sometimes get "BUMMED"......we seldom do!

Walking every square foot of this adventure at Hoover Dam.
Making it to the very end......together......
or alone! It's always a case of Return & Report!

Timmy had to suck eggs....but he finally opened his pocket book as our little group ventured down to the strip, walked through the Luxor Casino to the Mandolin Bay to see the "Lion King"

Need I say more? It was by far the best & most amazing experience I have ever witnessed.
The voices were incredible, the costumes & make up unbelievable, and the scenery & sets.....totally mind boggling. I was in heaven !

Shauna's daughter Ambree recommended that we go to the "M" resort to try their buffet. Once again, we were not disappointed. More types of food that I could ever fathom. We ate until we were stuffed. We got to drive around the outskirts of Las Vegas......for it is in the farthest south regions, walk by all those who love to plug their credit card into waste machines, and yet have a another delightful experience with our close friends.
Our last whole day in Las Vegas was spent at one of the most beautiful, well kept landscaped places on this vast desert......the Las Vegas Temple. The most wonderful thing about these dear friends is that they reverence sacred things. And on this day, each of us would experience interactions with the heavens. Prayers were answered, witnesses were born, and the divinity of the Lords wisdom revealed.

Holiness is a feeling that is as white as the snow laying on the ground of our homes when we returned to Utah. Yet it burns within like the radiance of the beams of the sun.
A very wonderful trip with very wonderful people.
