I LOVE Old Cars!

I didn't have to go to England to realize that I've always had a passion about old cars.
18 years ago I bought my first 1926 Model T Ford. I started working on finding & painting fenders when we moved to Orem & Dick Passwater called me from Salt Lake & told me he had another '26 Model T that had more parts to it. So I sold my first car to Corwin Ogborn & bought the one from Dick.
Yup, it had more pieces to it, but we had to start all over again.
Duane Fielding needed a home & I need some sand blasting, so we traded!
He sand blasted the old paint off my car & Duane lived down stairs in the pit with David for 3 months.
Then we took my car to Sergio Alor to paint the body while John Boyer, Bill Croft & I worked on the rest of it. John would tell me what to do each week & then we'd meet on Tuesdays to start to re-assemble.
Scottie jumped in when he could & actually helped me get the upholstery done when it was time.
This was the first day things were put back together & we started it up for the first time.
14 years I've been having fun & making memories with my Model T
I truly loved my car, & I loved sharing it's story with other's along the way.
Especially making memories with the Grandchildren! One of my favorite memories was tending Sam when he was about 2. Sam was in taking a nap & I heard him talking. I went into check on him & he was sound asleep saying, "Come on Grandma, lets go in the Model T."
This is one of my favorite shots of Syd & Syd together driving.
Now after 14 years, my Model T needs some serious work done on it. Too much for me to handle. I took it to the Car Doctor to see what could be done. While it was in the doctors office, a lady saw it & stopped to ask who owned the old car. "Do you think she wants two?" and left her number at the Car Doctors Office.
I put my Model T up for sale & pursued buying a better car for me to drive. I was so happy when someone bought my Model T that would make it feel so much better & love it as much as I had.
It made it possible for me to buy this 1928 Model A. It's all enclosed & will allow me to drive all year long. It belonged to Great Grandpa Brown. I couldn't believe the family would sell a family treasure like this one. But it proved to be a great blessing to me.
It's at the Car Doctors being completely checked over & I'll be driving it, hopefully this week.
Thanks to all my family & friends for making memories with me in my Model T. Hope you want some more in Model A.......she's a beauty.
